Fighting with the sword is an exciting, physically and mentally demanding sport. Basic skills are achievable in a few weeks and if you want an interesting way to get and keep fit the modern Olympic sport of fencing gives both sexes the challenge of combat in complete safety.
One-to-one combat really is the most absorbing and fun way to take exercise. Modern fencing is no longer the exclusive property of public school fuddy-duddies. Training for fencing will improve posture, balance, flexibility, reactions and mental agility.
Terence Kingston is currently coaching at Tiger Sword Club, Shene Tiger Sword Club, and Guildford Fencing Club

At Tiger's our aim is to get beginners fighting as soon as possible. To achieve this we teach all beginners with our own new light-weight versions of the duelling sword called the Mini Epee. Course are based around my book EPEE COMBAT MANUAL which has, I am pleased to say, has had very good reviews. Teaching methods and terminologies have been simplified and modernised to speed up learning.
